Using SketchUp for interior design
I love hearing about how companies are using SketchUp in their work more and more often, andAlexander James International is a great example of that. Recently featured in the Google SketchUp Blog, AJI is an interior design firm that specializes in hotels and leisure.
Over the years, their use of of SketchUp has grown and they now consider SketchUp Pro and Shaderlight to be essential tools. Shaderlight, for those unfamiliar with it, is a great tool to take your SketchUp models and make them look amazingly realistic. For example, check out the rendering below from AJI of a restaurant that they modeled (via SketchUp, through Shaderlight, then tweaked in Photoshop):
The results are stunning, and the ability to create beautiful renders like that is a big reason that SketchUp is becoming as popular as it is lately.
